Coastal charm meets seashore sophistication as we escape to the Cape for the latest installment of our sneak-peek photo-shoot series. Get a glimpse behind the scenes to see what’s to come in the upcoming pages of WellWed – Cape Cod + Nantucket + Martha’s Vineyard – Issue No. 9.
Our ‘Cape escape’ photo-shoot series began on the beautiful island of Martha’s Vineyard. Boasting breathtaking harbor views, pristine pastures and cottage-cozy style, The Beach Plum Inn was the perfect place for photographer Randi Baird to capture the classic character of the Cape. Beautiful blooms designed by September Weddings , Dandeneau Flowers , Donaroma’s & Island Ambiance complimented creations from Cakes by Liz . Macaroons and cake pops by Val Cakes were scrumptious accessories to darling vintage decor from Big Sky Tent & Party Rentals .
The following day we traveled across The Sound to explore the maritime magic of Nantucket. Originally a Vanderbilt Estate; The Westmoor Farm set the stage for a splendid session with Zofia & Co. . Acres of gorgeous gardens and cozy cottages epitomized the quaint quality of Nantucket with a luxurious twist. Romance was in the air with lush florals arranged by Soiree Floral & Event Design and Florabundant . Nina Webb Baskets from Small Town Girl brought a picnic of a good time. Colorful cupcakes from Missy's Minis , a creative confection by Jodi’s Cakes , oh-so-cute cupcakes and fabulous pint-sized pie bite favors from Petticoat Row Bakery made the shoot exceptionally sweet.
Back on the mainland, Old Cape Cod charm sparkled in a breezy beachfront shoot with Stacey Doyle Photography at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel . The seaside splendor of the locale was sweetened by tasty treats from Konditor Meister , Artisan Bake Shop , Delicious Desserts , and Montillo’s Baking Company . Fabulous florals from Beach Plum Floral & Event Design , Sayles Livingston Design , Fancy Flowers by Meredith , and Lilacs were fresh features as an antique farm table and burlap tufted chair from New England Country Rentals gave the shoot an air of rustic romance.
We concluded our coastal tour with some of Boston’s best at The Endicott Estate . Old-world grandeur met elegant enchantment as Eric Barry Photography poetically captured the majesty of this colonial mansion. Bouquets and centerpieces by The Tangled Web Creative Floral Design , Nectar , Spruce Floral and Pollen Floral Design were alluring additions to delightful decor from Table Toppers of Newton . Classic cakes by Amanda Oakleaf Cakes and Eat Cake! completed the sophisticated spirit of the day with sugary splendor.
